Overview
Our 6-day Gorillas, Chimpanzee and Lake Mburo safari Uganda gives you a chance to meet the African apes and the remaining mountain gorilla and chimpanzees as well a wildlife safari to see zebras, giraffes, hippos, buffalos elands and the rare endemics of lake Mburo park – the impala. We can also get a chance to interact with the local people, the cattle keepers. On this trip, you visit Bwindi Gorilla Park or Mghahinga home of mountain gorillas and Kibale national park – the primate capital and home of chimpanzees.
From Entebbe you visit lake Mburo, Kibale forest and Bwindi National Park. Activities include: gorilla trekking, chimpanzee and swamp walk, equator tour, game drive and boat cruise. Transfer to and from the airport or hotel is included. Additional accommodation before or after the trip can be arranged at an extra cost.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Guide Picks You Up
Your guide will pick you up from Entebbe international airport or your guesthouse and drive you to western Uganda. On your way, stretching your legs at the Uganda Equator, take photos and then proceed, lunch at the lodge then go for a boat cruise. On our way back at sunset, game drive your way to the lodge, have dinner then overnight at Rwakobo Rock Resort.
Drive time: 4.5 hours
Day 2: Early Morning Game Drive
Do an early morning game drive and search for zebras, giraffes and impalas among others. Proceed to Bwindi Gorilla Park, arrive in the afternoon and relax at the lodge. At sunset comes the traditional dance from the locals/community, at the lodge! Stay at Gorilla Friends Resort.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking
Trek the mountain gorillas of Bwindi impenetrable park Uganda. Wake up early morning to prepare for your gorilla trek; have your gear on, with your trousers, gloves, long-sleeved shirts, sunglasses, socks, hut, insect repellent, energy food, and enough drinking water. After 5 minutes, transfer from the hotel to the starting point, briefing then proceed for our trekking which is open for 2-6 hours. Spend a full hour with the mountain gorillas.

Day 4: Head For Kibale National Park
After breakfast, drive to Kibale national park Uganda through Queen Elizabeth national park on a high way to Fort Portal. See the foothills of the Rwenzori, crater lakes of Uganda as well as a big rivers from the glaciers of Mountains of the Moon Margarita peak, Rwenzori Park Uganda. Arrive in Fort Portal in about 4-5 hours.

Day 5: Drive To Kibale National Park
After breakfast, drive to Kibale national park Uganda. While there, be briefed and start trekking. You will be allowed to experience the chimpanzees for photos for a full hour. Alongside your trekking, birds and other primates are things to see. After trekking, do a simple drive to Bigodi for your lunch and then a community swamp walk at Bigodi sanctuary.

Day 6: To Kampala Or Entebbe
After breakfast, drive to Kampala or Entebbe, have lunch on the way.
